The Strawbridge and Martha Wilson Young Foundation is a nonprofit organization located on the grounds of the historic Young HomePlace.
Our mission is to preserve the legacy of the pioneer families who settled this region and to encourage descendants, students, researchers, and tourist to experience how they lived.
- To know our ancestors through the study of genealogy, oral history, video productions, and memorabilia.
- To experience how they lived through hands-on learning.
- To create The Center for Pioneer Life as an educational destination site for tour groups, school children, families, and researchers.
- To ensure that the tens of thousands of pioneer descendants scattered throughout the United States and the world can return to the HomePlace and experience “from whence they came” and to preserve this place for their children and grandchildren and their grandchildren.
The original membership of the Foundation consists of Earl Young, Fred Young, Ralph Young, Carl Winkler and Gwen Young Stetzler.
